TWINNING AGREEMENTS

Town twinning, or sister cities, is a concept that aims to consolidate relationships through protocol. It occurs essentially at the spatial, economic and cultural level, and promotes the establishment of links between places that, normally, already have similar characteristics or historical references in common.

COOPERATION AND / OR FRIENDSHIP AGREEMENTS

The cooperation and friendship agreements between Lisbon and other cities make public the union between them. From a transnational perspective, they reaffirm dialogue, trust and the exchange of experiences, stimulating solidarity and collective development.
